Head Teacher's Welcome
I am very proud to be part of this vibrant, happy and caring school where children are firmly at the heart of everything we do.
I hope that the website gives you a flavour of what makes us a great place to work and study. If you would like any further information, please contact the school office.
Little Mead Primary Academy is proud to be part of Trust in Learning Academies (TiLA), a Bristol-based Multi Academy Trust. Click here for more information.
Little Mead Primary Academy is a fantastic place to learn, play and work – in beautiful surroundings and at the centre of the supportive Southmead community. The community is rightly proud of this academy, and we love the responsibility of continuing to provide an educational experience that parents recognise as being second to none.
We pride ourselves on making this an inclusive school with a tight-knit, family feel. Staff really get to know each pupil, and work to meet their needs to the very best of our ability. We have high expectations for every child, and we value every one of them as a unique part of our community. We want each child to become a kind, thoughtful and great person ready for secondary, ready ultimately for life after school.
Our school site is amazing. We are blessed to have so much space both in the school building and around the grounds. EYFS enjoy their own bespoke area for play and development. They even have their own hall to eat in!
We aim to foster a lifelong love of learning and believe that our children deserve the very best. We work in partnership with parents, carers and members of our local communities to achieve that goal. When we work with parents and parents work with us every child benefits.
We believe that the school should be at the heart of the community and with a strong school at its core, a community should thrive. We are proud of how diverse our community has become and how much richer this makes each child’s time at our school. Confidence in a school comes from knowing and understanding what is happening within it. We try to open our doors at key times to give parents a chance to feel confident in what we do here.
