Keeping Children Safe
We work closely together with our parents and carers, community figures and a range of external professionals in order to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our pupils.
We follow closely the statutory guidance from the Department for Education. Click here link for the latest government guidance on Keeping Children Safe in Education.
If you have any concerns about the safety or wellbeing of any child, please contact the school's designated Leads for Safeguarding:
- John Calvert - Head Teacher & Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead
- Tim Bliss - Assistant Head Teacher & Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead
- Luke Gardner - Assistant Head Teacher & Designated Safeguarding Lead
- Megan Lodge - SENDCo, Inclusion Lead & Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead
We have an explicit duty to safeguard and protect children from abuse as defined in the Children Act (2004); the Education Act (2002 and 2011); DfE guidance Working Together to Safeguard Children (2018) and the 2022 statutory guidance Keeping Children Safe in Education.
We keep everyone safe through our Safeguarding and Child Protection procedures; our PSHE (Personal, Social & Health Education) curriculum; our online safety curriculum and through pastoral support.
Please see below for our Mental Health and Early Help Offer in school. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the DSL team.
