Early Help at Little Mead Primary Academy
At Little Mead Primary Academy, we believe that we need to work closely with our families to ensure that our pupils are successful. In order to make sure that our children are able to succeed, we have a strong, effective educational and pastoral universal offer for all of our pupils and their families. Sometimes, pupils and their families need additional support - our Early Help offer sets out clearly the pathway to support that we use to offer support and guidance to prevent escalation of problems. Early Help means taking action to support a child, young person or their family early in the life of a problem, as soon as it emerges.
In Bristol we have a shared framework known as the Bristol Multi Agency Threshold Guidance for all our work with children and families. This Early Help strategy is also linked to Bristol’s Children, Young People and Families Strategy taking a whole system approach to improving local partnerships and supporting agencies who are putting early intervention into practice.
Preventative and Early Help responses are critical to preventing issues escalating and children experiencing further harm. Early Help seeks to meet the needs of and support the family in resolving difficulties and prevent them becoming entrenched. Trusted relationships are at the heart of making a difference to how we solve social issues today.
