Sustainability

At Little Mead Primary Academy, we believe that education is not only about shaping minds; it is about shaping our environment for a better future. Our commitment to sustainability is rooted in our core values T.R.A.C.K. Through our climate action plan, we are making conscious, meaningful changes to reduce our environmental impact and inspire our whole community to care for our planet. Together we are building a school that doesn't just teach about sustainability but a school that lives it. Every small change is a step towards a brighter future for our school and community.

Teamwork - we at Little Mead Primary Academy we work together as staff, pupils and families to build a more environmentally friendly school - we plan to build an eco-council and have gardening clubs within the academic year to collaborate on projects sharing the journey to becoming a sustainable school.

Respect - We honour our natural world and each other by making thoughtful choices. Respecting our environment by reducing waste, conserving energy, and looking after our school environment.

Aspiration - We set our sights high. Our Climate Action Plan commits to bold targets: cutting emissions, enriching green spaces, and weaving sustainability into every part of our curriculum and culture.

Courage - We face our environmental challenges with honesty and action. We are rethinking old habits, trying new things and we are not afraid to lead by example.

Kindness - We are growing a culture of being kind to our planet, people, animals, and future generations. Making strides towards being more sustainable is an act of kindness that ripples beyond our school gates.
